Giving Tuesday: A Global Day of Giving

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Giving Tuesday is celebrating its 5th year today, and has become a movement of philanthropy and giving. As a global movement, #Giving Tuesday unites the country around the world. For ideas on how to get involved in your our community, please visit Giving Tuesday’s website. Last year, 116.7 million dollars were raised during the day, across 71 countries.

#GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season for many, as individuals begin to focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. At Manchester Honda, we are trying to give back to our community by participating in Honda Against Hunger’s Food & Fund Drive.

As a CT Honda Dealer, we are committed to help feed our local community members who are in need. That is why it has been our mission to fill a Honda with food. We would like to encourage donations on this Giving Tuesday, in hopes that we can make a difference for the lives of others this holiday season.

We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items or monetary donations at the dealership until December 12th. For more information, please ask a Manchester Honda employee for further details.

• Canned fruits & vegetables
• Breakfast cereal/oatmeal
• Spaghetti & sauce (no glass jars)
• Tuna & other canned meat
• Sugar free, low sodium & no salt items
• Gluten-free products
• 100% fruit juice
• Macaroni & cheese
• Rice

*Please donate food that is in good condition and “in date.” Foods six months past their expiration cannot be accepted. Also, no homemade products or glass jars of baby food can be accepted.
